- If I had a wish it would be that people would come to the drop in center on Saturday nights and find something to do rather than sit home in isolation. If only one person makes it and chooses recovery it’s all worth while. Sign me, Living simply in small-town America
- Posted on 03/05/2018 Today, I’m kind of discouraged. At a meeting yesterday it was shared that one of our members found his brother dead from an overdose. It really tears me up to hear that we have lost another person through addiction. Please donate $1...it will help!
This is a journal of my experiences with living simply in small town America. For four years I subsisted on a very limited income before I returned to work (against doctors' orders...lol). During that time I had to learn to cut corners, pinch pennies, and use the savings wisely. I had to make changes to adjust but have managed to keep living well and happily within my means. Now, back to work, I am still living simply wherever I am relying on what I learned during the past eight years.
